Exchange papers: G4G8 participants who are preparing papers and images in lieu of physical
exchange gifts should not print out 300 copies of their work to be distributed at the conference. Instead,
please prepare a PDF version of your work, and email it to Scott Hudson (scott@directdatacomm.com).
As in the past, there will be a page charge to defray costs.

Speakers update: We've received many proposals for talks, and are putting together a draft
schedule. Speakers who have requested 30 minutes may be asked to cut their talks
to 15 minutes. The speakers survey is now closed. To propose new
talks, withdraw a talk, or discuss scheduling, send email to speakers@g4g8.com.
Evening events update: Several G4G8 attendees did not sign up for the Thursday night and
the Friday afternoon events because these events were not specified at the time invitations were
sent to them. The details on these events are now available (click "Enter", above). Please consider if
you would like to attend these events, and if so, please remit funds or notify us you will pay on arrival.
Hotel reservations update: Try the Ritz-Carlton Downtown hotel (on Peachtree), first.
Contact Tom Rodgers thomasmrodgers@yahoo.com with questions about current
availability at that hotel, and for other hotel recommendations.
Please note: It is not possible to register to attend G4G8 or pay G4G8 conference fees online.
If you have received a paper invitation to attend G4G8, you can complete your registration by
returning the enclosed RSVP card and requested payments by mail. If you have received an email
invitation to attend G4G8, you can print out the RSVP card yourself (click "Enter," above) and mail it in.

The IRS has determined that Gathering 4 Gardner, Inc. is exempt from
US federal income tax under section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Contributions to the Gathering 4 Gardner, Inc. are deductible under section 170
of the Code. We are also qualified under sections 2055, 2106, and 2522 of

Update on International Shipping of G4G7 Gift Exchange Books
We're asking that non-USA G4G7 participants who have not received their G4G7 Exchange Books
plan on picking them up at G4G8, if possible, to save on shipping costs. International mail treaties
have eliminated "book rate" shipping. These costs have risen from the anticipated US$6-US$8
to US$35-US$45, depending on the overseas location. If you were an overseas G4G7 participant,
ordered books, and are not planning to attend G4G8, please contact us to make other arrangements.
